AIJSSH welcomes qualified scholars and researchers to join its international reviewer community and contribute to maintaining the quality and integrity of the journal's double-blind peer-review process.
How to Become a Reviewer
Researchers interested in serving as reviewers for AIJSSH are invited to register through the journal’s Online Journal System (OJS).
Eligibility Criteria
Prospective reviewers should:
- Hold a doctoral degree or demonstrate recognized academic expertise in a relevant field of social sciences or humanities.
- Have a record of scholarly publications in peer-reviewed academic journals.
- Possess research interests aligned with the aims and scope of AIJSSH.
- Be committed to ethical, objective, confidential, and timely peer-review practices.
Reviewer Registration Process
To register as a reviewer:
- Visit the journal’s reviewer registration page through the OJS platform.
- Complete the registration form with accurate academic and professional information.
- During registration, select the option:
“Yes, I would like to be contacted with requests to review submissions to this journal.” - Clearly specify your reviewing interests, including:
- Academic specialization
- Research expertise
- Methodological competencies
- Submit the registration form and maintain an updated reviewer profile.
Reviewer Selection
- Reviewers are selected by the Editor-in-Chief based on academic expertise and reviewing interests.
- Review invitations are assigned according to manuscript relevance and reviewer availability.
- Reviewers may accept or decline invitations depending on expertise, workload, or potential conflicts of interest.
Reviewer Guidelines
1. Reviewer Responsibilities and Ethics
- Provide objective, constructive, and timely feedback on assigned manuscripts.
- Evaluate manuscripts based on academic quality, originality, clarity, methodological rigor, and relevance.
- Treat all submitted manuscripts and review materials as strictly confidential documents.
- Provide professional and respectful comments that contribute to improving scholarly quality.
- Follow internationally accepted standards of publication ethics and peer-review integrity.
2. Evaluation Criteria
- Originality: Does the manuscript provide meaningful scholarly contributions or new insights?
- Methodological Rigor: Are the research methods appropriate, clear, and academically sound?
- Relevance: Is the manuscript aligned with the aims and scope of AIJSSH?
- Clarity and Structure: Is the manuscript well organized, coherent, and clearly written?
- References: Are citations accurate, current, and academically relevant?
3. Confidentiality Policy
- All manuscripts and review materials must remain confidential.
- Reviewers must not share manuscripts or discuss their content without editorial authorization.
- Direct communication with authors is not permitted during the review process.
4. Conflict of Interest
- Reviewers must decline review assignments where conflicts of interest exist.
- Potential conflicts of interest may include:
- Institutional affiliation
- Recent academic collaboration
- Financial or personal relationships affecting impartiality
Recognition of Reviewers
AIJSSH values the important contributions of its reviewers and may provide:
- Official certificates of reviewing service upon successful completion of review assignments.
- Formal acknowledgment of reviewer contributions, subject to reviewer consent.
