The Academic International Journal of Social Sciences and Humanities (AIJSSH) welcomes the submission of original scholarly manuscripts written in Arabic or English. Authors are encouraged to carefully review the following guidelines before submitting their manuscripts through the journal’s Online Journal System (OJS).
1. Author Guidelines
- Manuscripts must be original, unpublished, and not under consideration elsewhere.
- The manuscript should generally not exceed 7,000 words unless prior approval is obtained from the Editorial Board.
- Authors must strictly follow the journal template and formatting instructions available on the journal website.
- All submissions must follow the APA (7th Edition) referencing style.
Manuscript Structure
Authors are requested to organize their manuscripts according to the following structure:
- Title of the Manuscript
- Author(s) Name(s) and Affiliation(s)
- Abstract
- Keywords
- Introduction
- Theoretical Framework and Literature Review
- Methodology
- Results
- Discussion
- Conclusions and Recommendations
- Limitations and Future Research Directions
- References
2. Abstract and Keywords
Each manuscript must include:
- One abstract in English
- One abstract in Arabic
Both abstracts should present identical academic content and range between 150–350 words.
The abstract should clearly summarize:
- The research problem and objectives
- The methodology used
- The main findings
- The study’s contribution and recommendations
Authors should also provide three to six keywords reflecting the core themes of the manuscript.
3. Methodology, Results, and Discussion
Authors should clearly describe the research design, population and sampling procedures, data collection instruments, and analytical methods used in the study.
Results should be presented clearly using appropriate tables, figures, or narrative explanations. Tables and figures must be numbered consecutively and accompanied by clear titles and captions.
The discussion section should interpret the findings in relation to previous studies, research objectives, and the broader academic context.
4. Ethical Requirements
AIJSSH is committed to maintaining the highest standards of publication ethics and research integrity. Submitted manuscripts may be screened using plagiarism-detection software such as Turnitin.
Authors are responsible for ensuring the originality, accuracy, and proper citation of all sources used in their work.
5. Submission System
All manuscripts must be submitted electronically through the journal’s Online Journal System (OJS).
Required Submission Files
- Main manuscript file prepared for anonymous peer review
- Author information file
- Cover letter or statement of originality (if required)
- Figures, tables, or supplementary materials (if applicable)
- Similarity and AI reports generated using Turnitin or equivalent software
Submission Steps
- Register or log in to the OJS system
- Start a new submission
- Agree to journal policies and ethical standards
- Enter manuscript metadata
- Upload required files
- Review and confirm submission
6. Peer Review Process
AIJSSH follows a double-blind peer-review process. Each manuscript is evaluated by independent reviewers based on originality, methodological rigor, academic relevance, and contribution to knowledge.
7. Copyright and Licensing
Authors retain copyright of their published work while granting the journal the right to publish and distribute the manuscript.
All published articles are distributed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0).
8. Article Processing Charges (APCs)
- Publication Fee: USD 250 (or equivalent)
- Payable only after formal acceptance
- No submission or peer-review fees
- Optional fast-track publishing and editing services are available for an additional fee
The journal may offer publication fee waivers according to editorial policies and available support programs.
9. Fast Track Publishing
AIJSSH offers an optional Fast Track Publishing Service for authors requiring expedited editorial processing. Fast-track submissions undergo the same academic and ethical review standards as regular submissions.
Fast-track processing does not guarantee acceptance for publication.
10. DOI and Archiving Policy
Each published article is assigned a Digital Object Identifier (DOI).
AIJSSH participates in LOCKSS and CLOCKSS archiving systems to ensure long-term preservation and accessibility of published content.
