A Proposed Vision to Improve the Level of Life Satisfaction for Newly Diagnosed Breast Cancer Patients from the Perspective of Crisis Intervention Model in Social Work

This study aims to present a proposed vision for improving the level of life satisfaction among breast cancer patients from the perspective of the crisis intervention model in social services. This study is one of the descriptive studies that used the social survey method using the sampling method through the questionnaire tool and was applied to a purposive sample consisting of (273) breast cancer patients during one year of being diagnosed. The setting was the maternity and childhood departments of the health directorates of the Palestinian Ministry of Health in the West Bank governorates. The study concluded that the level of psychological stability for newly diagnosed breast cancer patients in the West Bank is "average" as the general arithmetic mean reached (2.12). The level of family stability is "average," as the general arithmetic means reached (2.20). The level of social interaction is "average" as the general arithmetic mean reached (2.11), and the level of social integration is "low" as the general arithmetic mean reached (1.65). Based on the study's results, a proposed vision was achieved to enhance the level of life satisfaction for breast cancer patients from the perspective of the crisis intervention model in social services.
