How to Write an Academic Article: Focusing on Research Elements and Structural Components

Writing scientific articles is a significant challenge for many researchers, and few of them receive specialized training in effectively communicating their findings in writing. However, publication is often essential for securing funding and advancing one's career. With this comprehensive guide on how to write an academic article, this paper will focus not only on research but also on the crucial elements of each section of a paper. It addresses topic selection, article organization, writing style, and how to use tables and figures to support claims, drawing on more than 30 citations from academic work. The guide conforms to the common standards, such as the (IMRaD 1) format, representing Introduction, Methods, Results, and Discussion. IMRaD structure, with an emphasis on clarity, stringency, and scholarship, that will result in publishable research papers.
